1. Scope
This notice explains how CARPENTER AZ handles information when you create, open, annotate, clean, organize, save, export or share PDF documents and images on Android. The application does not require an account. The legal operator is CARPENTER AZ LTD.
2. Documents and images you choose
When you open or import a PDF or image, access to that file is required for the operation you select. Importing files is optional until you choose a feature that needs one. Imported files may contain information such as names, email addresses, telephone numbers, postal addresses, photographs, signatures, or other details already included by you or the document's creator. CARPENTER AZ does not separately ask you to register a profile or supply these details.
3. Text, signatures, forms and editor inputs
Adding new text, annotations, drawn signatures, freehand marks, shapes, highlights, inserted pictures, and image positions is optional. Entered values in supported PDF form fields are required only when you decide to fill those fields, and the fields depend on your own PDF. Project or exported-document names can be entered or edited when you create or organize files. This information is used to produce and later reopen your edited documents. No separately required personal name, email, telephone, residential address, bank information or card-payment form is provided by the app.
4. Processing and storage
The app works primarily on your device. Selected files may be copied to app-private working storage before processing. When you save results, CARPENTER AZ can retain PDF and image outputs, imported source snapshots, project edit records, inserted image assets, document names, object positions, and document details such as file size and modification time. Some processing creates temporary files or caches. This information is not transmitted to a company document server by the included application.
5. Camera, photos and permissions
The app can open your device's separate camera application when you select a camera-based document task. The chosen camera app captures a photograph and the output may be temporarily stored for the requested operation. The included application does not request a direct camera permission or microphone permission. Android's system file-selection interfaces provide access to files you select; the app does not request unrestricted storage, location, contacts or internet permissions.
6. Metadata
Your source photos and PDF files may contain file metadata, author information, timestamps or location information embedded before import. Depending on the tool used, an exported result may retain some metadata. The app does not guarantee that all metadata is removed; review sensitive files before sharing.
7. Sharing and external applications
Only when you select an action such as Save, Share, Open externally or Email support does Android hand a file or message to a destination or another app. Files can be shared through the Android sharing system using temporary access permissions. An external recipient, printer service, file provider or email application may process shared content under its own policies. Email support opens a separate installed mail application; CARPENTER AZ does not send your message through a built-in company messaging backend. You can also copy the contact email to your clipboard through Contact Us.
8. Internet and third-party software
This release does not include a network document-processing backend, mandatory account, login, Firebase, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, tracking SDK, online payment service or internet permission. It uses Android platform libraries and PDFBox-Android for local document processing. An external app chosen by you for sharing, capturing photos, printing, or sending mail may separately use network connections.
9. Retention and deletion
App-private saved documents and editable project records remain until you delete them through My documents, clear the application's storage in Android Settings, or uninstall it. Associated project content is removed where supported by the implemented delete flow. Some temporary files or caches may remain until the app's storage is cleared or the app is uninstalled. Copies you export to other folders or send to other applications are not automatically deleted when you delete an in-app copy; remove them from their destination separately.
10. Security and user choices
The app is designed to process files on your device but no software or storage environment can guarantee absolute security. You decide which files and optional annotations to provide and when to export or share results. Source files selected from external storage are ordinarily processed through working copies rather than silently overwritten.
11. Children's privacy
CARPENTER AZ is a general document utility and does not create child profiles or offer a child-directed account service. A document may still include personal information supplied by its owner, and you should only import documents you are authorized to handle.
12. Policy changes and enquiries
If future versions introduce new data uses, online uploads, advertising, permissions or retention practices, this notice should be reviewed and updated. For privacy questions or requests, use the Contact Us section inside the application.
